Already drawn to The Mood Collectives’s aesthetic, our clients entrusted us with full creative direction. Guided by the architecture and mountain setting, we developed the interior as a considered extension of the home, from the electrical layout and bespoke joinery to the lighting, wallpaper and soft furnishings.

The open-plan living spaces balance a rich, darker palette with warm brick tones echoed from the kitchen into the living room. High ceilings and exposed beams bring a sense of volume, while carefully selected furnishings and lighting soften the architecture.

Dark timber continue into the study, creating a sophisticated, intimate space. The restrained palette and considered joinery bring the same rich materiality found throughout the home.

Rich, naturally textured wallpaper brings depth and quiet luxury to the primary bedroom. Sheer curtains frame the mountain views, complemented by Duette blinds for privacy, blockout and insulation during the summer months.
Through a considered layering of soft furnishings, rich textures and natural materials, we transformed the room into a warm and welcoming retreat. From bespoke headboards and ottomans to carefully selected fabrics, wallpaper and lighting, each detail was chosen to create a sense of true comfort

The surrounding landscape informed the outdoor palette, with earthy greens and warm browns creating a natural connection between the home and the Helderberg mountains beyond.
